We all experience different struggles at one time or another throughout our life. The transition into or out of college is often filled with a lot of uncertainty and stress. This can be with coursework, friendships, roommates, exploring sexuality and independence. Therapy is a way to assist you in embracing your current situation and moving through, rather than getting stuck or spiraling backward. Life can be complex and challenging, it can require extra support to help move through the struggles we may be experiencing. In our first few sessions I will learn more about your current situation and discuss treatment options I feel you may benefit form and what has worked for you in the past. We will work together from there to develop a plan that you are comfortable with and work together to reach your goals. Taking the first step to reach out and ask for help is often the biggest hurdle. Feel free to reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if therapy with me is right for you!

Hi, I’m Julie! I’m so glad you’re here. I identify as a cisgender Latina woman and am proud of my Puerto Rican heritage. I love working with college-aged adults navigating the big transitions of this stage—figuring out who you are, what you value, and how to manage all the pressures that come with it. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm, you’re not alone—and therapy can help. My approach combines practical coping skills with deeper exploration of your thoughts, emotions, and the many parts that make you who you are. I believe we all carry an innate inner wisdom, and my goal is to help you reconnect with yours—building self-trust, compassion, and healing from within. I look forward to connecting and supporting you on your journey.

Many of the students I work with are juggling the pressures of academics, relationships, and figuring out their future. You might be feeling stressed, stuck, or like you're falling behind, but you're not alone. I provide a safe, supportive space to help you sort through these challenges, build confidence, and find balance. Together, we'll work on making college and life feel a little less heavy and a lot more manageable.

Adjusting to college can be overwhelming. Even though this is a life event that is planned, it can still be a culture shock for many. Making new friends, adjusting to a different type of structure, and being away from family and loved ones for the first time can increase feelings of anxiety. You might find yourself over-analyzing your social interactions with your peers in a way that you didn't do with your childhood friends whom you've known for the majority of your life, or maybe you are having a hard time managing your class schedule and assignments when school came easy to you in the past. Whatever may be coming up for you, I am here to support you. We will work together to develop helpful coping skills to manage feelings of stress and anxiety, calm the negative self-talk that often comes with increased stress, and process your recent life transition in order to feel more at ease with the change. My approach is warm, casual, and strength-based. I use gentle and validating conversation to help improve your confidence, challenge your inner-critic when it tries to take over, and make you feel empowered to take your anxiety head-on. Finding a therapist and making the initial step to start therapy can be intimidating and overwhelming. I invite you to contact me for a free initial consultation so I can answer your questions, address any worries or concerns about therapy, and ensure my therapy style is what you are looking for.

I specialize in working with young adults and adults navigating challenges related to addictive processes, substance abuse, relationship and codependency issues, trauma/PTSD, and life transitions. My approach is deeply rooted in guiding you back to yourself — to your innate power and inner radiance. Together, we will explore the external systems and influences that may have caused you to forget your true nature, and uncover the burdens that were never yours to carry. We will also look at how you may have distanced yourself from who you really are. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, compassionate space to explore your past and unconscious. This process helps you bring the unconscious into awareness, integrating all parts of yourself to create a life of alignment and authenticity. This work not only deepens your self-awareness but enhances your relationships with others. The therapeutic relationship is at the core of our work together. I am here to hold and confront you – while staying consistent and loving – which creates pathways for growth. Over time, you'll carry this connection into your life, building a stronger sense of self. Embracing your wounds with love transforms them, guiding you toward healing and light.

Are you stressed out and overwhelmed? Losing sight of your goals? Are 'old issues' getting in the way of moving forward? I care about "what happened to you" and I strive to provide a supportive space for you to share your concerns. Effective work can result in your improved ability to function and to pursue your best life. I offer acceptance without judgment, practical tools, constructive education and a conviction that you are capable! I do accept some insurance (Aetna and United Health) via Alma. Please contact me and I can walk you through the simple process. My approach is wellness-focused and is best suited for those who are not in crisis and who are ready to engage in deeper work. Are you a bystander in your own life? Living day to day, going through the motions, doing the things you do because its what you are “supposed” to do? Never questioning why. Do you feel trapped in your own life? Insignificant in your world. Do your relationships lack depth and connection? Imagine having clarity; having inner calm; having a sense of purpose. These are things that can give life meaning and fulfillment. Are you ready to put it all on the table and make sense of things? To find confidence through congruence between who you want to be and who you are. Are you ready to embrace yourself and live an authentic life full of purpose and connection? My focus in therapy is on depth work. Through a client centered, relational approach I aim to support you in digging deep, asking the challenging questions and learning who you are while becoming who you are meant to be. With a deeper acceptance and love for yourself you will increase your ability and willingness to engage and connect with others in more meaningful ways. And through these intentional connections you can cultivate a narrative for your life that affirms your values and purpose.
