Therapists for college students near 02138
I help adults in all phases of life. I help my clients work through new and past traumas, and through typical or unexpected life transitions. In therapy we can make meaning, find purpose, or forge new paths. Many clients come for help managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, or addictions. If you need help but don't know what questions to ask, that's okay! You don't have to know exactly what's wrong or what you want. Finding out is part of the process! Therapy can be to heal, recover, sort through, reconnect, rejuvenate, strengthen, or change aspects of your life to make it more manageable & meaningful. I primarily work with college-age students as they navigate this transitional time in their lives. I currently have early and late evening appointments as well as Saturdays 10-1.
I became a therapist to bring my passion for helping others into a space where you can feel truly comfortable, supported, and understood. My goal is not just to create that feeling within our sessions, but to help you carry it into your life and relationships. When we work together, you’ll find me walking alongside you, offering guidance and support as we explore what empowers you and helps you feel more confident in who you are. I’m here to encourage you, celebrate your progress, and help you build a stronger, more authentic connection with yourself and the world around you.

Do you suffer from negative thoughts and feelings? I treat adults with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, OCD, life transitions, or low self-esteem. I also help to support and teach coping skills to individuals, or couples, experiencing any difficulties that can arise during pre-pregnancy, while pregnant, and after childbirth. I use a combination of traditional talk therapy, strengths-based approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and lots of humor to help people gain the confidence and tools they need to feel better. No matter the reason for therapy, a person needs a place they feel safe to flourish again. As your therapist you will find that I provide a safe, nurturing, and confidential environment conducive to getting you better. Colorful Resilience is a Queer-Afro-Latina-owned outpatient mental health services office in West Springfield, Massachusetts. We proudly provide therapy – primarily, but not exclusively – to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, First Generation, and immigrant folks. For clients in the Western MA area, we offer in-person consultations and virtually for those all across Massachusetts. Due to a lack of clinical representation and cultural competency in the mental health field, the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, First Generation, and immigrant communities have historically been underserved. Colorful Resilience hopes to remedy such disparity by ensuring all our team members are representatives of the communities we serve, fearless allies, or both. Not only utilizing education but also lived experiences to provide the most relevant behavioral health services.
I specialize in supporting individuals through some of life's most tender and transformative moments: major life transitions, chronic health concerns, bereavement, shifts in identity, pregnancy and postpartum well-being and more. These are experiences that can shake us to our core — and they deserve more than a surface-level approach. Healing here doesn't have to look one way. Each session draws from somatic awareness, mindfulness, creativity, & talk therapy — tailored to what feels right for you. Through this whole-person approach, we'll work together to reconnect with your resilience, release what no longer serves you, and find your way back to yourself — toward peace & fulfillment My work is grounded in my training as an Art Therapist (ATR) and Psychotherapist (LPC/LCMHC), alongside study in somatic and polyvagal work, mindfulness-based practices, and attachment theory. I'd love to support you through whatever you're carrying. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

Paul Coleman is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Coleman Mental Health Associates specializing in patient mental health. What is essential for people to realize is “no two people are the same”. Thus, each patient will receive an individualized, collaborative care plan in this outpatient office. Treatment includes several mental health conditions that have depression, bipolar, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQI issues, and medication management, to name a few. My primary focus and goals are to provide a safe place for patients to realize their strengths. This includes working together with listening to your concerns and developing customizable, collaborative treatment plans that helps you feel empowered in making decisions regarding your care. This biopsychosocial paradigm takes a holistic approach to identifying and assess overall health. This includes exercise, sleep hygiene, and psychotherapy to name a few. While medication management is part of this practice, not everyone needs medications, therefore prescribing when necessary. The goal is to get to the root cause of your struggles and help you move forward.

I've been in clinical practice since 2013, yet have 20 years of experience through mentoring young adults. One of my strongest areas of expertise is healing from trauma, of all kinds. What I often find in practice are Patients unaware of neglect and abandonment that they have lived through. I support Patients in identifying pain, creating space to grieve and heal, and creating a new way to experience life alive.
