Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
I find that life transitions can be overwhelming and feel lonely. Life transitions can look like anything: leaving home, starting college, loosing your job, finding out you have a chronic illness, getting married, getting divorced, loosing a loved one, having a baby, or discovering you're an addict, to name a few. Sure there's books on a lot of different subjects and friends can be helpful. But everything has it's limits. Maybe nobody seems very willing to listen, maybe that's even just it, there's nobody to listen, or maybe you don't want to overwhelm others. I put on a lot of different hats: listener, advocate, leader, cheerleader, challenger, teacher, validator, coach, researcher, or surrogate. We do whatever it takes to get you to the point where you feel like you're done with therapy. Most often I find people feel that they are done when they feel at peace.

ENTHEO PSYCHOTHERAPY: Depth Psychotherapy for the Dedicated Souls Hello and xin chào! I am a relationally-oriented Jungian depth psychotherapist with degrees from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I enjoy working with creatives, students of psychotherapy, and those dedicated to a life oriented toward meaningfulness. I have postgraduate training from the California Institute of Integral Studies in psychedelic therapies and research and provide integration counseling of altered states of experiences (visions, but also nightly dreams). I believe we are wounded in relationships, and it is through relationships that we also heal. I often place focus on what goes on between you and I as a reflection of what goes on for you in relationships outside of our therapeutic one. I provide telehealth sessions curated toward your specific needs. My approach is dual-prong--coping skills and processing skills.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to creating a supportive space where young adults can explore their inner selves and navigate life’s transitions with compassion and strength. I understand that seeking therapy can feel daunting, but my goal is to make you feel seen, heard, and valued throughout our journey together. My therapeutic approach is integrative, blending evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, parts work, somatically informed practices, and nervous system orienting practices. This allows us to address your emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being in a holistic way. I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, where warmth, empathy, and collaboration come together to foster growth and resilience. In our sessions, you can expect a safe and nurturing environment where we’ll explore your experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Together, we’ll work towards building a deeper connection with yourself, tapping into your inner strengths, and navigating any challenges that arise. Whether you’re looking to address old wounds or simply seeking to deepen your self-exploration, I’m here to walk alongside you on this journey. I am passionate about supporting individuals interested in personal growth and resilience. If you’re ready to embark on this path of self-discovery and healing, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can cultivate a sense of empowerment and balance as you move forward in your life.
When you’re the type of person who “shows up” for everyone else, it can be hard to admit you’re burned out. Helping is how you’ve learned to cope, connect and stay safe. I treat depression, anxiety, and burnout for people (15 years and older) who are too busy pleasing others to help themselves. My clients often find themselves having sudden health issues or lack of concentration and get into an identity crisis! "Who am I if I can't pull off miracles every day?!?" I offer a combination of psychotherapy and art therapy, which works well for people who don’t know where to start. I also integrate financial therapy into sessions because money issues are often unspoken roadblocks to personal growth. Art therapy is for all ages, and I primarily work with teens and adults. If a little part of you did a cartwheel when you read “art therapy”, it just might be a good fit for you. If another little part of you also got scared and nervous, that’s completely normal. You won't be judged about talent or skill, it's really about the process, not the product. Many clients have big new insights into their lives by working with images. When you've been running on empty, it's time to fill your tank. I'm a recovered pleaser too!
What is your relationship with food like? Is meal time an unavoidable chore, or something you find yourself obsessing over? Maybe the thought of certain foods, or even seeing them in the store sends you into a tailspin. If you work hard to limit your intake, postpone it, or try to eliminate it by any means necessary, you may have an eating disorder (ED). I have extensive knowledge and experience at outpatient, inpatient and residential levels of specialty care for EDs. I’ve come to know that there is no such thing as the “classic patient,” and the manifestation of an ED occurs for everyone at unique times regardless of socioeconomic status, faith, sexuality or race. I can help explore your relationship with nutrition and your body, enhance your strengths and support network, and guide you as you build a foundation of unconditional respect for yourself, that fosters growth and preparedness for the next phase in your life.
Hi there, if you've been struggling with difficult thoughts and feelings it's possible that they've felt like barriers to doing the things that are important to you. Therapy can help by first identifying what these barriers are, and making a plan for getting you back to activities that create meaning in your life. I provide individual psychotherapy in a warm, encouraging, and collaborative style. I use a blend of techniques that are backed by research to ensure you're getting the best care possible. If you're unsure about therapy please contact me for a free consultation call to see if we might be a good fit. From there if we decide to work together we can begin treatment by identifying what your struggle has been, and how we can get you back to living the life you want. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
Hi! I’m Marissa, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in school counseling. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling, and I focus on learning ways in which people are best able to process traumas, build self-compassion, and practice coping skills for individuals to strengthen their abilities to handle everyday life, and its curveballs. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, overthinking, and relationship challenges. My approach is grounded, genuine, and centered around creating a space that actually feels human. I want clients to feel like they can come in exactly as they are — messy thoughts, uncertainty, humor, emotions and all — without feeling judged or pressured to “have it together.” I care deeply about building real, trusting connections and meeting people where they’re at, while helping them grow, heal, and feel more confident and at peace in their lives. Together we’ll explore your current challenges, goals, strengths, and what kind of support may feel most helpful for you. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or share everything right away. My goal is for you to leave feeling comfortable, understood, and hopeful about the process moving forward.
Hi, I'm Larry - owner and currently primary therapist at Growth Odyssey LLC. Thanks for stopping by! I prefer to utilize a relaxed, approachable style to facilitate easy conversation and connection. I change therapy modalities periodically to best match where you are at with your process. I can use humor to help cut tension and set a pace for conversation that doesn't get too overwhelming. I believe that good therapy is like searching for treasure underwater - we want to go down, sift through the sand and mud, look for buried treasure, and periodically take moments to come up for air. I'm happy to meet you where you're at in your journey and help you find your way. I'm trained: I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UCCS Colorado Springs with additional training for addiction treatment. I've completed trainings for EMDR, ACT, trauma informed care, and many other areas to give me a well-rounded toolbox to work with. I'm experienced: I have worked in most levels of care, from weekly therapy sessions to inpatient rehab for substance use disorders and hospitalization for suicidal thoughts and severe psychiatric distress. I've experienced working with a broad range of issues which means I likely have some experience related to what you are going through.

Sometimes we face challenges that seem insurmountable, leaving us feeling stuck and hopeless. Therapy can provide the support necessary to overcome hardship and help us take steps toward happiness and fulfillment. As your therapist, I believe that you have the resiliency required to overcome life's toughest challenges. No one should have to trudge alone through trying times. I look forward to walking with you on your journey! I specialize in grief and loss counseling, but also help individuals cope with and manage depression, anxiety, mood swings, self-esteem, and relationship issues. I use a variety of creative trauma-informed techniques to tap into your innate strengths, develop solutions, and make moves toward the summit of well-being. My main clientele are teens and young adults, and I truly enjoy working with these populations! Along with traditional talk therapy I use art, play, visual journaling, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients get "unstuck" and feel in charge of their emotions and their lives.
Hello! I am a trauma-informed therapist serving clients in California & Colorado. I have over 10 years of experience working with young adults and their families. Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. For the “weirdos,” “misfits,” seekers and dreamers. Those who feel invisible, not enough, alone or like you are not able to be fully you and still be loved. The people who find solace in books and music, and intimate conversations. Who deeply feel there is something more or a better world possible. For people who feel both at home and alone in solitude. You’re not wrong for holding contradictions and it makes sense if the world feels at times both too heavy to bear and so full of magic and wonder. Have you been told that the way you experience the world is "too much" or you are "too sensitive?" Maybe you feel like you have a breadth of awareness and understanding but don't experience the solace you are longing for. Or that you have had to hide parts of yourself to belong, only to feel more disconnected. Imagine a life where you feel connected, alive and able to embrace the fullness and vastness of who you are. Where your energy can move towards things outside of the performance of being acceptable. I view therapy as quiet work; where the small and sometimes big shifts, hold the power to change what is possible for all of us. I will be with you as you gain clarity around your own wisdom and knowing; deconstruct the unhelpful stories you hold about yourself; and I will always sit with you through discomfort, dis-ease, celebration and joy. I work from modalities and techniques that are rooted in story telling and visualization (Narrative, IFS); and body based awareness and nervous system regulation (Somatic).

Are you stressed out and overwhelmed? Losing sight of your goals? Are 'old issues' getting in the way of moving forward? I care about "what happened to you" and I strive to provide a supportive space for you to share your concerns. Effective work can result in your improved ability to function and to pursue your best life. I offer acceptance without judgment, practical tools, constructive education and a conviction that you are capable! I do accept some insurance (Aetna and United Health) via Alma. Please contact me and I can walk you through the simple process. My approach is wellness-focused and is best suited for those who are not in crisis and who are ready to engage in deeper work. Developing increased self-compassion, radical acceptance and understanding about how we humans use self-blame to survive can help you move beyond the effects of trauma. I have a special interest in supporting persons who have been members of cults or high-control groups. These may be religious, psychological, treatment oriented or other. I offer online sessions via Zoom and some flexibility in my schedule (other than what is posted).
